About Me
Hi everyone,
I'm Atakan, and I'm thrilled to be part of the Couchsurfing community. I recently graduated and am now working at one of the largest e-commerce companies. I live in Kadıköy, the vibrant center of Istanbul's Anatolian side, conveniently close to public transport like metrobüs, metro, marmaray, and bus lines, making it easy to explore the city.
I’m interested in various sports, including football, volleyball, surfing, and windsurfing, and I love traveling both within Turkey and around the world. My favorite activities at home include cooking and cleaning, so maybe we can cook together, or I can lend a hand with cleaning. :)
As a host, I'm open to welcoming guests from all over the world. I have two couches available and look forward to meeting new friends. Feel free to reach out if you're looking for a place to stay or want to explore Istanbul with a local.
Looking forward to connecting with fellow travelers and making new memories. All the best!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing because it offers an amazing chance to meet new people and experience diverse cultures from around the world. While free hosting was once my main focus, now my priority is forming genuine connections and learning about new perspectives and traditions. Couchsurfing provides a fantastic opportunity for cultural exchange, which I value deeply.

What I Can Share with Hosts
As a guest, I love bringing a bit of Turkey into my host’s home! I can share traditional Turkish tea or coffee and, if you’re interested, teach you how to make a few classic Turkish dishes. I also enjoy sharing stories about life in Istanbul and Turkish culture. Whether it’s cooking together or simply exchanging experiences, I’m happy to bring a little piece of my home to yours.
