Hey couchsurfers, I’m Sam. 37 year old, young at heart Australian guy travelling with my dad on a tour of Central Asia. I’ve spent a few months in the region before and would like to get out and be with some young people in between spending time with my dad and the oldies!

I’m on a tour and looking for local people to hang out with. I love travel and meeting interesting people. No better way to gain new perspectives and have fun. I find you learn more about yourself the more you learn about the world as well.

Intereses

My interests are quite diverse (a few listed below). I love jamming music with people and have played in bands on guitar and as a drummer. I like being arty and most things outdoors get me excited.

Música, películas y libros

Pretty diverse with the music (from folk to drum and bass and everything in between) but roots in heavy metal and 90’s grunge. Movies… The last great film I saw was “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once”. Books: The Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy, The Outsider, All Quiet on the Western Front.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I could teach beginner/intermediate guitar or drum set. I can teach English and am currently studying a TEFL course. I can share my experience of Australian culture (whatever that means)! Mostly I hope to have fun, learn and grow.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

Some of my friends think that I spend too much time dwelling on the ‘deep’ things, but this makes me a good listener. I’m fun but can also be a little shy at first 🌝
