I am Bridget, a recent college graduate from the US spending a year in Thüringen, Deutschland as an English Teaching Assistant at a school . I will be travelling around Germany and Europe in general throughout this year! While I am relatively new to couchsurfing, I am an experienced Workawayer and traveller.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new people in Germany, practicing my language abilities, and discovering new, historic German towns. I am an extrovert and love listening to others' stories. I have found travelling to be a great source of personal growth and independence in the last year!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to many genres of music, but my favorite genres of music are folk, indie, rock, pop, and really any music I can dance to! I have too many favorite movies, but here are the ones that come to mind: Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Us, About Time, Midsommar, Ratatouille, Mamma Mia, and The Hundred-Foot Journey. TV series I have binged recently are Fleabag, Girls, Sex Education, Abbott Elementary, and Gilmore Girls. If you've watched/liked any of these shows or movies, we will have lots to talk about.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share my enthusiasm for history, politics, and philosophy. I love coffee and tea. I love animals. I enjoy playing board games. I practice yoga and meditation. I enjoy hiking and outdoor activities (when the weather allows it).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Enthusiasm for new culture and eagerness to learn! Friendship, I have met many friends travelling in 2022 and want to keep that trend going. I am an English teacher and can share English language knowledge or speaking practice. I can also share basic German language skills (I am currently around B2 level).
