My name is Chloë, a 23 year old from Cape Town, South Africa. I am going on a solo Germany exploration trip starting end of May! 🌈

I fell completely in love with Germany on a visit last year (2023) and decided I want to move here! So before making the big move and finding a job, I’ve decided to come back and visit as many cities as possible and fully experience and immerse myself in German culture ❤️🇩🇪

I love art galleries, drinking wine by the river, dancing to techno or having amazing vegetarian food. I am also learning German and would love to hear about your life in Germany and your best local spots.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to experience as much of Germany and the world as I possibly can before making a full move here. It is my dream to move to Germany and it has been for a long time, and Couchsurfing makes it possible for me to meet lots of locals and explore new German cities! As a South African, travel can be more challenging. I want to meet as many people and have as many cool experiences as possible in my life :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love techno, but also really enjoy alternative chilled music (check out Alice Phoebe Lou, she’s from SA but is based in Berlin now!). I am very into documentaries and love most movies, but recently have been enjoying podcasts a lot!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spontaneously quit my tech job and leave my life to come Couchsurfing around Germany. It was a hard decision, but I know it will be worth it!

I have a Computer Science degree, so give me your tech things I will fix it all for you 🤪 or a website/ app hmu

If you need help with English I am fluent, or need lessons in maths, physics or anything related, I have been teaching for 4 years so I can help 😂

I am also passionate about sustainability, mindfulness and different cultures and cuisines

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a very curious person and am very interested in other people’s lives and their stories. So I am always down to have interesting conversations, but also am very independent and can keep to myself! So I am happy with any level of interaction that you are comfortable with :)

I am a great baker, am also a mega neat freak and am very respectful. Of course, if you decide to visit Cape Town (YOU MUST!), my home is open to you and I will show you around in return 💃🏻
