About Me
I am a nature lover, and I am particularly in love with the sea and marine mammals. 🌊 That's why I said goodbye to Mexico City and moved to Zihuatanejo 8 years ago. 🏝
I love outdoor activities, especially scuba diving and basketball. ⛹️♀️ I can spend my whole life at sea watching whales and dolphins. 🫶🏼 I also love to do science outreach and share my passion for these magnificent animals. 🥰
I love music, I really enjoy dancing and singing. In my spare time, I enjoy reading books, and I have also learned to play the ukulele a little bit.💃 I am a very positive person, I like to laugh a lot, and I also like hugs. I love traveling and meeting new people! 🙆♀️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am in Couch surfing because I love traveling and I enjoy my trips much more when I have the opportunity to get to know the places in an authentic way, so the idea of connecting with local people from different parts of the world seems wonderful to me. 😊
I also love cultural exchange, and I like to be a hostess in my own home, I really enjoy the visits. Whenever I have the opportunity to host someone in my place, I am always happy to do so. 🏠

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy almost all music, from rock to classical music. Ska is one of my favorites. I like a lot of happy music like the argentinian bands "Los Caligaris" and "Los Autenticos Decadentes".
I like fantasy novels very much, of course I grew up with Harry Potter. I also like magical realism a lot. Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Carlos Ruiz Zafón are some of my favorite authors. And to my surprise, one of my favorite books is "Rosario Tijeras" by Jorge Franco.
When it comes to films, I really like romantic comedy and fantasy. But definitely, my favorite film is "The Secret Garden" (1993).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In 2019, I became a National Geographic Explorer and conducted a small environmental awareness project with local children, connecting them to their environment. During this project called "Seeds of Hope" 20 little explorers had the opportunity to join me: whale watching, mangrove reforestation, bird watching, snorkeling in a coral reef, turtle release, explore caves, observe the night sky and learn about the stars, make art out of trash, track animals, learn about tide pools and connect with nature in their locality. 💙🩵💚💙🩵💚💙🩵💚
Of course, after this experience, half of them want to become biologists, and I'm sure that at least one of them will! 🥳🥳🥳
But, even if not, I know that I have made a small change in them and that they now see the world from another perspective. Which makes me feel very happy and proud 🥰
Teach, Learn, Share
I fell in love with the ocean at a very young age. When I was 3 years old, I decided I wanted to be a biologist and work with marine species, especially whales.

I have dedicated myself to the study and protection of marine mammals. I specialise in humpback whales. 🐋
I have also had the opportunity to teach adults and children about the biology and importance of these magnificent giants. And I love it! ❤️
