Overview
About Me
As you already realized, yes I’m new to Couchsurfing. I have not dared to be a part of the community for a long time because I need a little time to let new people into my private space and also to dive into the space of people I don’t know yet. I have long believed that makes me unsuitable for this form of traveling and meeting people. Besides, my preferred form of traveling - on my bicycle without a plan and without a destination, doesn’t quite fit into the concept of Couchsurfing.
But now I have already met so many great people in my life who have slept on my Sofa and I with them who regularly use Couchsurfing. That it also time for me to become part of this community.
Therefore, I would be happy if you give me the opportunity to meet you.
For all who are interested in to getting to know me:
Hy, my name is Kurt and I'm based in Vienna, where I feel very much at home. When I'm not doing my job as a social worker, I spend a lot of time on my racing bike. Discovering the world through my own strength gives me a lot of joy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing helps me combine the two things I enjoy the most: The world and the social that fills it.
Interests
- cooking
- traveling
- analog photography
- bikepacking
- road biking
Music, Movies, and Books
For me, music is a means of creating or intensifying a certain mood. That's why I don't commit myself to one music chanre. Otherwise i try to keep my screen time low because i find the real world more fascinating.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meeting people who welcome me warmly and let me be part of their lives for a limited time is a great experience for me.
Experiences that I could already make without Couchsurfing.
Combined with a trip on my bike, and I’m the happiest person on this planet.
Teach, Learn, Share
To me there is nothing more fascinating than the social world that we humans bring out. The social amazes me every day. Getting to know new people opens up new horizons and fulfills me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Besides, as a former chef, I can still prepare delicious food.
