About Me

Hey, my name is Lasse. Me and my friend Mauro finished school together last summer and both took a gap year. This summer, for two months, we're travelling through Europe together by train with an interrail ticket. Our goal is to visit as many new places as possible and expierience other cultures and the people there.

A little more about us individually:

Lasse: I'm 18 years old and finished highschool last year and got my Swiss Matura-Diploma with focus on mathematics. In my gap year, I've worked in a Restaurant as a server and in the winter I spent three months in Arosa working as a skiing instructor. I loved both jobs because they were really somthing different from my student life before and I got to meet so many amazing new people and grow as a person myself. Because I'm still pretty young and unsure what I want from my future, I'm waiting to start studying for another year. Most likely I'll then study a technical like mechanical/electrical engineering or computer science at ETH Zurich, since these things have interested me since I was a small kid. I play football in the A-Junioren at SC Buochs. I love listening to music while doing almost anything and I play electrical guitar and Ukulele where I love playing along to songs and shredding some nice solos.

Mauro: I'm 19 years old and finished highschool in summer last year and took a gap year, mainly to complete the swiss obligatory military service. In two months, i will start to study Mechanical engeneering at ETH Zürich. Since graduating I went straight into training for the special forces, which basically means i didn't get to enjoy last summer so now i got to make the best of this summer... I also worked in the field of aluminum alloy composition and on industrial eloxation machines in the last few months. My areas of interest are science, technology and music. I play saxophone since I was a small child and recently started taking piano lessons and tried to learn some smaller pieces. I like taking apart electornic devices, printing stuff on my 3d printer and reading books.
