I have made a great decision to quit my job in 2023 and start travelling around the world for almost 2 years! I am now home. Considering that I have received lots of help from this community so I would love to give back and starting hosting.

Hong Kong is considered as one of the most expensive places in the world. It’s also quite hard to do budget travelling. Hotel and hostel are super expensive. Hitchhiking is nearly impossible. Also seems there are not much active hosts in Hong Kong. What I can say is - Good luck.

I am living in a ‘walled village’ which is around 20km far from city centre, but it is reachable by public transport with multiple transitions. From airport to my house, it takes 1.5 hours. From my house to city centre, it takes around 1 hour.

I prefer traveler more to tourist. Just because I was a traveler. I only accept 1 person at max at the same time.
I am living alone and I don’t have a separate room for you. You will have an air bed (185*72*22), pillow, blanket, sharing the same room with me.

I don’t want to discuss politics, religion anymore especially the relationship between Hong Kong, TaiWan, Macau, and China. Please, I feel exhausted to do this again as I did too much during the world journey for almost two years. I also had a very bad experience when discussing religion with my host which makes me fall into nightmare.

Please apply maximum 3 nights first, and we could discuss the extension offline if necessary. I was a traveler so in some extent I can understand what you need, even if you say you are tired and don’t want to go out or hangout, it’s completely fine.

I am now under employment, so I can’t offer you something fancy. My house doesn’t have WiFi, and I don’t want to install for some reasons. If you want free WiFi, you can use the one in McDonald. I only have one key. When I go outside, you can stay in the house, but you can’t get inside until I come back. Sorry about that.
