Hi! 🤗 It's Bahar and Ömer. We are part-time, low-budget, hitchhiker travelers from Turkey. Also, we are studying at METU (ODTÜ) in Ankara and we built 'METU Backpackers' student community. And, having a joint account is the most practical way since we're traveling together.

Our journey started last year by hitchhiking and tenting in Turkey for three months. During this time, we met great people and explored the country —still places left to visit. Now, we're taking our first steps towards realizing our dream of becoming life-long world travelers. We visited a few countries. Also, we sell bracelets to afford our trips sometimes and we're at the start of blogging and vlogging.

As Couchsurfers, we are open-minded, compatible, and responsible. We're surfing during the trips, and hosting in Ankara when available. We want to meet locals and travelers, and explore cities and cultures together. We like spending time together while hosting or being hosted, but it's okay if not due to circumstances. Additionally, if you are interested, we can share our country's culture, music, and food.

If you want to be hosted, please read our home section carefully. We may not always be available for hosting due to our trips, schedule, or Bahar's flatmates. Nevertheless, do not hesitate to send a request at any time.

Now, let us introduce ourselves shortly;

I'm Bahar and some people call me GB 😊. I'm studying Economics and I dream of becoming a full-time slow traveler after graduation. While traveling, I like learning new languages, photographing what I see, and writing what I feel. Anatolian/folk/psychedelic/progressive rock music, cultural and life-related books and films are my gem. I always enjoy some fresh food, beer, and tobacco. I love the sea, nature, sunny and warm weather. Lastly, I'm willing to make new discoveries all the time.

I'm Ömer. I think everyone needs a purpose to live a fulfilling life, and mine is to travel because I like myself most while traveling, experiencing new places, and moving continually. I like watching anime and sci-fi, absurd, alternative, and cult movies. My favorite movie is 2001: A Space Odyssey. I like swimming, being in nature, and I'm interested with alternative life styles. And if we meet, we can talk about the rest 😌.
