We are 2 French 🇫🇷, both finishing our masters degree in ecology, so we are big nature lovers 🐣 and aim to protect it 🌏🥹

Here is a little crossed presentation of each of us :

☀️ Noémie is a warm and fun loving person, with great perspective on life (or loves thinking about life) and an open mindset. She is always excited about every opportunity and amazed about every little thing life throws her way, she is truly like a little sun.

🌙 Étienne is a great dreamer who has managed to combine his childlike soul with his adult wisdom. Observant, sensitive, and sincere, he always strives to live simply in the present moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Turning the page on our season of studying, our hearts are set on exploring the world, but more importantly, on connecting with its people. We deeply feel the need to meet new people, share unique moments of life abroad, and immerse ourselves authentically into a new culture. This is where Couchsurfing truly shines! Music, Movies, and Books

🎶When it comes to music, our tastes are wonderfully diverse. Etienne grooves to the electrifying beats of Daft Punk and rocks out to the Arctic Monkeys. Noémie finds herself immersed in the enchanting world of film soundtracks, jazz, pop and the electronic sounds of artists like Porter Robinson and Snail's House.

🎬 Shifting to the silver screen, Noémie adores « Amelie » (Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain in french), directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, cherishing its philosophy about savoring life's small pleasures. Etienne, on the other hand, revels in movies that reflect the complexity of human existence, such as 'Good Will Hunting,' enjoys spine-tingling horror flicks like 'The Shining,' and finds solace in nature and adventure documentaries like 'Latitude Zero' by Mike Horn.

📚In the realm of books, Noémie treasures the life lessons in 'The Little Prince' by Saint-Exupéry, while Etienne explores worlds both real and imaginary through manga series like 'Naruto' and 'Berserk,' and appreciates the classic tales found in French comics like 'Tintin' or diving into novels and poetry, like 'Dune' or Jules Verne.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life surely is the most extraordinary adventure isn’t it ? But on a more serious note, there are so many of them. We’ll be glad to share more of our adventure stories with you when we meet !

Teach, Learn, Share

We love our country and would be super happy to share some of our cusoms with you as well as our language. For example, did you know that French meals always last for hours when there are family meetings ? Eating together is very important in France, because to us meals are the moment when we all can group together and have discussions.

Speaking of food, we could make a French baguette at home and show you the secrets 😉 We only need an oven and a few ingredients: Wheat flour, baker’s yeast, water and salt.

We are also big fans of music 🎼 and dancing 🕺, so we could definitely share artistic moments if you are into those kinds of things too !

In the same spirit, nature is a centerpiece in our lives so if you’d like to explore your wild surroundings, we would be super happy to accompany you 🏞️

As we are constantly learning and sharing to be able to grow as humans, we are looking forward to give and take with you.
