About Me
Hello 👋
I’m new here :-) Well sort of, I've used the site many, many years ago but my old account is gone, so it's time to start fresh.
I love to travel, discover new places, just exploring and see what I find around the corner. More importantly looking to meet new people, spend some of that precious quality time together with all citizens of the world, and widen our horizons.
When the weather is good (or not) you’ll usually find me hiking or just enjoying the outdoors.
Most days I work from home as engineer and my schedule can be quite flexible. If you think I'm a rich posh guy, well... you've got it all wrong. Just saying...
Once upon a time I played the piano and saxophone. Still haven't found the time to get #1 in the house, and I only enjoy playing #2 with others. Hit me up if you're a musician!
I can talk about anything and I don't believe in borders or stereotypes. All genders, ethnicities, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities and religions are welcome in my home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people, learn about you, the place you live in, your culture, and vice-versa I’d love to tell you all about my home country and its many strange traditions.
My prior experience with CS is that the people on here have a certain spirit, with lots of things to talk about and an open mind.

Music, Movies, and Books
The hardest question here!
I listen to much more music than I watch movies or read books, although recently found audiobooks to be a great way to “read” while driving, long-distance hiking, etc.
But back to music, thanks to the algorithms, it's often more about particular tracks and artists for me than whole genres.
Some artists I liked recently:
- Erykah Badu (Neo-Soul)
- The Bongo Hop (Cumbia and Afro-Beat)
- Vaudou Game (Afro-Beat)
- Chic (spans Disco, Funk, Hip-Hop)
- TootArd (Arabian Rock)
- Bedouin Burger (Syrian/Lebanese Electronica)
- Pomme Rouge (Arabtronica)
- Lee Ritenour, Casiopea (カシオペア), Masayoshi Takanaka (高中 正義) (Jazz Fusion)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to find "one amazing thing", there's a lot of little things that are awesome in the moment. My goal every day is to focus on what's happening *right now*, not thinking about the past or the future.
If there had to be one: quit my job, sold all my furniture, packed my clothes into an overweight suitcase and left for California with only the first two nights figured out.
Teach, Learn, Share
***Teaching***
Would you like to learn how to use a camera from a century ago (you know, those that look like accordions) and develop film at home with kitchen supplies? It's easier than you think! I'll show you.
Would you like to taste some local food and hike some beautiful trails nearby? I'll show you.
Would you like to learn some "street French" to impress your friends and Parisian waiters? I can't guarantee the result, but we'll try together!
***Learning***
Tell me all about you, what you do, your language, your traditions, and some cool pastime you have!
Do you play an instrument? I want to try.
***Sharing***
Most likely I'll be oversharing if there are some good vibes between us. Please accept my apologies in advance :)
