Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To widen my horizons and to come out of my comfort zone by exploring different cultures and social background. And I would like to truly experience the local communities of each countries instead of the tourist attractions. That's how I see and truly understand certain socio-cultural aspects of a community.

I am more into very art and philosophical related interests. During my free time, I do enjoy sight seeing, doing outdoor exercises and workouts with friends. Sometimes, I may end up experimenting new hobbies along the way. Currently catching up with the latest trends in the market.

Music, Movies, and Books

Pop songs which revolves around R&B and Rock (regardless its genre and era), learning to tune into foreign language songs, love reading books related to psychology, organisational behaviour, sci-fi, alternate historical genres, cartoon animation, nature writing, and Gothic novels as well as movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think doing a solo trip was the most amazing thing I had by far. And that marks the beginning of exploring different places in Malaysia. During my work trips, I think I had done long distance driving, which was amazing I was able to see different parts of the maps more effectively, even if it was from the Google Maps itself.

Every part of my first times were so meaningful to me, and it helps me to understand the world better, doesn't matter historical, philosophical and political aspects, as well as obtaining new insights about life. I think that's how we find our purpose in life.

Travelling and understanding other people's culture, as well as school of thoughts, have helped me to be more appreciative of my home country.

It has been an interesting phase of life to be able to see and explore what has been in my local country. Looking forward to see what is outside of Malaysia in near future.

Teach, Learn, Share

Shares and learning to understand different cultures and social background. I also love to look into philosophical aspects of literary theories and psychology.

Teaches English for second language users. Occasionally helps on Malay and Basic Chinese languages, which I am still in the midst of improving and sharpening the language proficiencies.

Learning foreign languages but still requires a lot of readings and practises.

You can count on me to recommending local Malaysian food and some local places outside of KLCC 😅. You will find yourself exploring a newer lense of Malaysia.
