One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are many stories, but today, thanks to my children, I remembered one story that happened during the cold winter season. My students and I were jogging along beautiful forest paths. Having not run very far, we saw a man lying curled up in a ball. We stopped and decided to help. Some ran to school for hot tea, others for food. We called an ambulance with the other children and coordinated their arrival. The children, in such excitement, showed concern, asked the doctor about his health, and wanted to make sure that everything would be fine with this person. We called it a “lesson on salvation.” For a long time, my students told everyone about what happened. And I was glad that they showed the best feelings. The ability to notice and be able to stop to help someone is an important quality that I want to develop throughout my life.
