Hi there! I’m Sophie. I like travelling and getting to know the background of places and to visit some more remote parts of a country. Meeting new people is also a very important part of it. I think it is great to have friends from all over the world.

Spending time outside, especially in the nature brings me a lot of joy and inner peace. I love the mountains, camping in nature and observing wildlife. Particularly, the marine life fascinates me.
I am addicted to sunsets and watch them whenever I have the opportunity in any new place I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like to come into contact with people from all over the world. Couchsurfing is a great way to get more in touch and to learn more about the culture of the country you’re visiting. I like the idea of exchanging, getting to know different points of view and to simply learn from each other. I’ve made some incredible experiences with Couchsurfing and love to create memories together.

My favourite books and films are the Harry Potter series. I can't get enough of them.

My taste in music is quite varied. I really like a mix of indie and rock. My favourite artists include Frank Ocean and Kraftklub (German band).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camping next to an active volcano in completely unspoilt nature in Guatemala, watching the eruptions with wide eyes every half hour ....
including ash rain on the tent!
I was amazed by the power of the earth and felt so small!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to have conversations and to talk about travelling or just life in general. You get me with good company and a cup of tea or coffee or whatever.
I enjoy cooking, so I would love to prepare a meal for us.
