Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to gain a wider insight into the lives of local people instead of just meeting people from the same part of the world as me in hostels. I feel like this will give me a deeper appreciation of the country and the culture. I also love the idea of being able to immerse yourself in someone else’s live and I want to share mine with as many people as possible!

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore late 60s and 70s rock, (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, David Bowie etc.) As well as soul and funk from this period (Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Aretha Franklin etc) I also love alternative 90s (Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, Alice in Chains, Rage Against The Machine etc) I also love the hip hop from this era and any chill/jazz rap. I am also deeply interested in cultural/ religious music, specially Indian Classical, Qawwali etc.

Any Tarantino movies!!! Plus Si-fi, thrillers, comedy’s, love and everything that is worth watching !! As well as documentary’s, any music documentary’s and true crime.

I am unfortunately not a huge reader and I plan to change this when I am travelling!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can help teach English and Guitar. I would love learn instruments such as the Sitar and to master various vocal elements and techniques in Indian Classical, such as proper breath control, voice modulation and pronunciation of syllables. I would also like to learn Hindi. As well as anything anyone has to offer! I can share good knowledge on the history of certain music and the meanings behind songs and artists. I can share incredible and outlandish and intellectual conversations, stories and experiences! There is no end to the amount of things I want to learn and share!!
