hi my name is ozan deniz and I am 20 years old. I am a second year student in Middle East Technical University and my major is biology. I study in Ankara but my family lives in Antalya time to time I visit them. I want to visit and explore many cultures, museums, cities, countries and meet new people as much as I can. I am from Turkey which makes me financially unlucky in comparison to most of European teenagers thus I am seeking your help to give me a roof under my head if you would be so kind to assist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I am traveling is to discover and explore more about other cultures and people. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to share a roof with reliable people I am seeking to connect with. Moreover, since it is more budget friendly, I can meet and share with more people than I could without it.

Interests

Since I am a biology major, I like reading scientific contents. I love reading books and listening to music. I try to go to swimming once each week. My personal favorite is cooking even though I cannot cook a lot or very good, it makes me help finding peace.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am mostly into novels and sometimes I read poetry to find peace especially while I am trying to feel free. I really like musicals and drama movies and tv series such as Blues Brothers, Captain Fantastic, True Detective and Shameless. I mostly try to listen a variety of genres and aim to discover new songs and artists but mostly I like jazz and acoustic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try to visit as many places as I possibly can. Last year I travelled few cities such as Eskişehir, İstanbul and Yalova in my country but I want to utilize my passport and visa for abroad this year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I tutor high schoolers in debating. I have attended many tournaments and participated them as debaters but mostly chairman in the recent years. Other than that I hope to teach English this year if I can have spare time from studying.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can help them with chores, cooking and cleaning and would be very careful about not interrupting their personal spaces if that is what they want from me to do. I hope to share our own experiences with each other.
