About Me

An avid reader who likes to write occasionally. I've travelled across many regions of the Himalayan foothills in Uttarakhand. I love interacting with people and sharing experiences. One of my favourite hobbies is to walk. Wierd, as it may sound, but walking is my way of connecting with the nature around me - so I'm always up for long walks and hikes.
Something I would explicitly like to mention is that I know some of the best sunset spots in Nainital.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically to meet people, learn about different cultures, travel and help people have a good travel experience.

It was not so long back when a friend introduced me to this platform and the idea amazed me. What kept me from joining it initially was the fact that it was not possible for me to host people then. Later, I did join, deciding I can still guide people around and help them find good stay and food options. I can also help you explore amazing places and do so many fun activities that most visitors usually miss out on.

And if I plan to travel to a town or a city sometime, I'd love to be hosted and guided around by a fellow Couchsurfer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't mind sharing my favourite playlist if you ask me for it - since it's quite to difficult to mention any one song.
I'm not someone who watches a lots of movies.
Book: The Guide by RK Narayan (since I find it the most relevant one to be mentioned in this platform)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I walked for a month through different Villages , towns and sometimes cities of Uttarakhand. It was to study the changes in demography over the years. We would walk for 25-30 Kilometres/day on an average (which included climbing up and down the hills under all type of weather conditions - be it extreme rains or a hot sunny day), while visiting villages, schools and colleges on the way. We did all this while staying and eating at people's houses along the way. Such once in a lifetime experience it was!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A lot of stories and maybe also cook them a good meal.
