Overview
About Me
I am from Taiwan. Born and raised in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan.
I’m a junior high school Mandarin teacher. My school is in a rural area in northernmost of Taiwan Island, so I stay in the school dorm on weekdays and only go home on weekends. Although I don't have time on weekdays, but I can rest on Fridays night, Saturdays and Sundays, so I can freely use my time on weekends and enjoy the autonomy of time.
I majored in Chinese language and Taiwanese literature when I was a student. If you want to learn Mandarin or learn more about Taiwanese culture, I will be happy to pass on my expertise to you. I am also very interested in Japanese culture and admire the Japanese people's ability to develop ordinary things around them into many professional studies, such as taking a train in Japan. And Doraemon is my favorite character. Based on my love of Japanese culture, I originally wanted to learn Japanese, but there are many people who can speak Japanese in Taiwan, so I learned Korean to show my uniqueness.I have studied Korean since April 8, 2016 and studied at University of Seoul in 2019. I have visited Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Daegu, Daejeon, Gwangju, Ulsan, Jeju etc. Nevertheless, based on my love for Japanese culture, I will also study Japanese from February 20, 2023. I think Japanese is more difficult than Korean, and I am still trying to learn it.
I like to see people around me happy together, and my friends and relatives think I'm very good at taking care of people! But my English skills are not very good, probably because Taiwan's English education focuses on reading and writing, so I rarely have the opportunity to have conversational experience, but I can do my best to express what I want to say.
Nice to meet you!I hope we can make friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
In addition to Mandarin pop songs, I also like Japanese music, especially Yuri’s “Leo”, Yonezu Kenshi's “Lemon”. These two songs sound sensuous, I think I can calm my mind. I also like listening to K-pop, Korea music is really good, there are many songs are very good, but if ask me “Which one is my favorite?”, I will say AKMU's "Last Goodbye" and N.Flying's "Rooftop", these two songs not only have feelings, but also remind me of the good memories of my life in Korea.
My favorite books📚
📕 “Lonely Castle in the Mirror(かがみの孤城)” by Japanese novelist Mizuki Tsujimura(辻村深月). I initially thought this would be a heartwarming novel, but as I immersed myself in its pages, I realized it goes far beyond that. It not only touches on real-world issues, but also weaves an intricate mystery that transcends time beneath its emotional surface. When the final revelation unfolds and all the pieces fall into place, I was left deeply moved and truly impressed by the author’s creativity.
📕 “13•67” by Hong Kong novelist Ho-Kei Chan(陳浩基). Each story in this book captures a fragment of Hong Kong’s collective memory, yet at the same time, each one is also a murder case. They can be read individually, but when put together, they form a unique narrative of Hong Kong’s history. It’s a truly fascinating reading experience and an impressive work of crime fiction.
📕 “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store(ナミヤ雑貨店の奇蹟)” by Japanese novelist Keigo Higashino(東野圭吾). Many characters were introduced throughout the story. Despite many arcs in story everything was tied up neatly in the end making it a very satisfying read for me. The plot kept me hooked till the end and made me smile an think.
📕“The Second Chances Convenience Store(불편한 편의점)” by Korean writer Ho-Yeon Kim(김호연). Writer uses a small neighborhood store as its setting to portray the joys and sorrows of ordinary people with humor and warmth. Through everyday moments, the story reveals the characters’ struggles and growth in a deeply relatable way. Though the plot is simple, it is rich with reflections on life.
My favorite movies 🎥
🍿 “Mal-Mo-E: The Secret Mission(말모이)”. I appreciate Korean's determination and courage to preserve his words, and I understand Korea better in modern history.
🍿 “The King's Warden(왕과 사는 남자)”. Although the story ends in tragedy, it carries a sorrowful yet beautiful narrative of loyalty and devotion. Even for those unfamiliar with Korean history, it is hard not to be moved by the profound bond and sense of loyalty between the ruler and his people depicted in this story.
🍿“A Taxi Driver(택시운전사)”. Participants in the democratic movement set aside their personal concerns in the face of life and death, all in pursuit of justice. Such profound courage and selflessness moved me to tears throughout the entire film.
🍿“Top Gun : Maverick”. Tom Cruise, an enduring icon who never seems to fade, still appears as youthful as ever. Even though I haven’t seen “Top Gun”, this sequel feels like more than just a continuation of Maverick’s journey. It not only portrays his growth, but also captures how he faces aging with sincerity and gracefully bids farewell to his era.
