About Me

Hi! I'm Patrik, 18, and I am finishing my last year of high school this May and I have set a lot of future goals in my life. I plan to work at one of our family friend's company in the Netherlands, get some money, then invest and start a self-running company (probably woodworking and furniture first and then we'll see), become financially free, travel the world, then settle down, have a lot of kids, get a psychology degree and open a private school and probably and ethical garden/farm too. But for now, these are only my dreams, but I sure do dream big :D

Right now I'm working in a warehouse and in food delivery to get some money to help my parents and myself ofc. You'll probably see me here surfin' if I have a little money from these jobs so I can travel.

More about ME: I love meeting new people, listening to their stories, being part of their life, experiencing them and their culture and background, learning in real life, I like to be immersed and present in the moment.
For me, this is the best part of the human experience, and other than that showing love, giving love and helping out where I can, to stangers and friends alike.
I could talk a lot about my interests, I am pretty sure we have at least some in common, but I've listed some examples below. I have a couple of stories to tell: if you open up to the world, the world opens up to you. I have met some very interesting and overall amazing people even though I didn't even really start travelling yet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wanted to be on here for a long time now (prob 3 years at least) but I didn't have the money or the commitment for it yet. This is the Why: I think it's a much better way to experience other cultures and people, than renting out hotels, and being a "tourist". I don't want to be a tourist, I want to immerse myself and really experience the world around me: the people around me. I'm geniunely amazed by how good of an idea this website is in the first place! So cool!

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like RnB, Indie, Alternative, Bedroom Pop, Hip Hop. I mostly listen to english artists, but I try to listen to other languages as well. I have my favorites from hungarian artists too. But I listen to any music, really. I really like classical music, especially baroque and I like folk music too, not just the hungarian part.

Movies: idk I like all the good movies even if you think that's basic Shawshank Redemption, Memento, Chaplin Movies, Everything All At Once whatever. I don't do favorites.

For books, I'm really into ancient roman philosophy and poetry right now. But I've read a lot since I was a little kid.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't really know what to write here my message is: be kind to everybody, even to yourself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Thank you for reading my profile, I know it's a bit long)
I'm sure we'll have some common interests. If you already did, tell me how you feel about it, let's chat! If you're kind enough to host me, I'm sure we'll have a great time! I'll bring you some authentic hungarian paprika and some pálinka :) (only if you'd want me to of course). If you have a place for me, or if you're just curious about something, let's connect, I'll reply as soon as I can! See ya
