Overview
About Me
I have wide interests ranging from politics to philosophy, mountain hiking, bouldering, saving the planet. After working for the socialist party in the Netherlands I now work as a web developer in Amsterdam. I'm single, not looking for a partner. Living a small, simple life, you staying over will probably be the highlight of the week. ;-)
As I'm new to couchsurfing, and I'm a bit nervous about letting strangers into my house, I might not accept guests that are not verified.

Music, Movies, and Books
Herman Hesse, Louis Couperus, No friend but the mountains. I grew out of listening to music as I grew older. Sometimes I listen to Bach string quartets and cello sonates. I love arthouse movies in general, and have seen loads of them. Hard to pick a favorite though. Maybe Who's affraid of Virginia Woolf.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve survived a snow storm while backcountry skiing in Norway.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you the basics of bouldering, a wonderful sport that requires solving climbing puzzles with your body as the moving puzzle piece. I love conversations about a wide range of subjects. I you can teach me how to cook a tasty vegan dish that would be wonderful.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My company, conversation, favorite curry, positive mindset, a good arthouse movie.
