Born in Santa Catarina, raised in a small paradise with freshwater beaches, born in Santa Catarina, raised in a small town in the interior of a state whose symbol is a majestic tree called araucaria. Daughter of a Saudi mother with Egyptian ancestry and a Brazilian father with Italian ancestry, the two fell head over heels in love during a Muslim wedding. Whenever we talk about that day, my father directs a passionate look at his immortal beloved when he remembers that it was love at first sight when he looked at that girl with beautiful and enigmatic amber eyes. Also known as wolf eyes, amber eyes may or may not be a solid color, that is, the eyes may be a single shade or any of the shades of amber, ranging from red-orange to light yellow through orange-yellowish. My mother was wearing the niqab, a veil that covers her face and reveals only her eyes. As my mother's family is Muslim and my father's family is Catholic, my maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother forbade their dating. The Qur'an prohibits Muslim people from marrying non-Muslim people. When my parents found again into each other again by chance in the same mall, they realized that they hadn't both married other people, that they still loved each other even after six years of being apart. My mother finally had the courage to run away from her of family to a coastal town, where she was welcomed with open arms by my father's family, regardless of their religion. My paternal grandfather and my paternal grandmother always fondly told that it was on that day that they finally met their daughter-in-law.
