About Me

Hi!, I'm Alex (waves hand enthusiastically) :D
After working abroad for a year in a couple amusement parks in the Netherlands and Germany, I saved up just enough to embark in my first ever bikepacking trip, starting from Berlin and coming home in Madrid. It is my first time doing this and everything is so intense and exciting! I'm alternating between camping, hosting platforms like Couchsurfing and hostels when nothing is available and I can't camp. Then I discovered Warm Showers and decided to give it a go.

So right now I ride on an old Bergamot Sponsor with way too many bags attached to it (rookie mistake, I know), and, like potatoes, can settle for anywhere that has some land on it. A couch would be ideal, a bed, a blessing. I travel light (metaphorically), so don't plan to stay more than a couple nights anywhere, but stay open in case a cool plan comes up or maybe I can help you with something.

So far I've had a Wonderful experience with everyone that I've encountered, and hope I also found a place in all my host's memories :)

I love all creative and adventurous things. I love drawing, climbing and embroidery, and I'm super interested in everything that involves designing a more sustainable future and life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Moneeey, ka'ching ka'ching, hehe
But seriously, apart from it being a crazy convenient way to travel, there are few better places to know likewise open minded people and adventurer souls than these types of platforms. And experienced too! I hope to meet many scar-covered, grey bearded men and women capable of make a fool out of me and my baby soft survival instincts.
At the end of the day, I'm doing this no matter with whom, but still I figured that would be funnier if I shared it and made some cool friends in the process. Will you be one of them?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love animation cinema. Studio Ghibli (Spirited away, Howl's moving castle, Princess Mononoke) Laika Studios, old 2D Dreamworks (Sinbad, El Dorado, Treasure planet, THE IRON GIANT), Shrek, Megamind, How to train your dragon, Love, Death and Robots, Akira, Paprika, Arcane, Fantastic Mr Fox... If it stretches and moves like crazy or has pretty colors, I'm sold.
Anime. Yes please. FLCL, TTGL, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo, Berserk, Evangelion, Madoka magica, Mononoke, JoJo's, Avatar, Fullmetal Alchemist, Anohana, Violet evergarden, Hajime no Ippo and many more (Naruto and One Piece will be here when I finish them hehe)

Also I'm a sucker for adventure movies like Into the wild, Captain fantastic, Nomaland, The secret life of Walter Mitty, Grand Budapest Hotel, Django unchained, Pulp fiction, Kill Bill...
I love a goof fiction movie, whether it is fantasy, science fiction or (and specially) some weird stuff that makes your head spin Ah! and terror, I'm learning to love terror as well. Her, Donnie Darko, Hereditary, Swiss army man,
Gremlins, The Truman show and The butterfly effect, to name a few.

AND I have a spot in my heart for bad horror movies, such as but not limited to Attack of the killer tomatoes, Killer clowns of outer space, The rubber (a killer car tire), Bunny the killer thing, Zombeavers, Sharknado, Sharktopus vs Whalewolf between other timeless classics... This said, Leslie Nielsen parody cinema is the maximal expression of comedy for my rotten brain with jewels like Airplane!, Hot shots! and Police squad! to name a few. I'm not sorry. I'll see you in hell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've always loved adventure sports and traveling, so right now I'm starting to fulfill my dream of building a lifestyle in that I can merge both, which if you ask me is pretty cool.

Teach, Learn, Share

I mean I don't know that much about anything, but if you like I can teach you some drawing tips, how to make an spanish omelette and my own perspective on life... Ah! and if you want to practice your Spanish I would love to teach you all the curse words to sound like a true native :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Here you got a 4x4 buddy that will be as happy camping in the most remote mountain as chilling at home with a hot cocoa and some tabletop games.
On top of thatI have an endless list of crafts and DIY projects that I would love to share! We can make little trinkets to remember our time together and our little adventures :D
I'm down for any cool plan or crazy idea, after all, you'll never know if you like it until you try it! If you have something you whant to team-try, this is your sign :) Also, count me in to go to cool exhibitions, bars and restaurants... not to mention a good party.

Also, here's my official disclaimer about how much I love to talk about random topics in conversations that stretch to the infinite, so you've been warned hehe
Nontheless, if you have things to do and prefer to stay on your own, I can busy myself with the many things I always have to do, I'm also very independent!
