Hello! My name is Qamarul Qashfi Bin Abdullah Asya’ari. My name is that long and I have heard lots of complaints on why my name is that long. Well, my real name is Qamarul Qashfi and Abdullah Asya’ari is my father’s name. Bin refers to the son of. So to put it in a longer way I am Qamarul Qashfi the son of Abdullah Asya’ari. After being alive for 2 decades, I have decided the shortest name for anyone to call me is QQ or just Q.
Just an alphabet for my long name.

For my whole life, I’ve been moving around the states in my country Malaysia due to my father’s work. I went to a boarding school where most of the best students in Malaysia are dying to attend the school. During my five years of attending the school, I have make friends with everyone from all states while being away from my family. There are no place I could call home because my family always moves around, but I do realise that home is wherever I wish it to be – with my family, with my friends, and everyone whom I meet along the way. I am currently a third year university student of Shipbuilding and Ocean Designing Engineering in somewhere further than my family and my homeland - Saint Petersburg, Russia.

There are so much more to talk about myself and this long paragraph still doesn’t do justice for anyone to get to know me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am in Coachsurfing because I have seen my friend share their experience using this platform to find and get to know more people. I am eager to learn more about culture from different parts of the world and seeking to find friends from all around the world. I do believe, to explore and listen to the culture is through the locals and not through whatever the media portrays because there is so much hypocrisy behind it just like me living and studying in Russia.

Teaching is not really my thing, I am much more of a learner because in my age, there’s just so much more to learn from everyone alongside me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share the culture from my multiracial country and community. If there is any asian grocery stores, then, I can cook for you our traditional food which ranges from Malay cuisine, Chinese Malaysian cuisine and also Indian cuisine. Side note: I’m a great cook as long as my critical girlfriend is there beside me to tell me that my food is in it excellency state for your stomach.
