Hello guys,

my name is Nico and currently I live with my fiancée Leonie in the beautiful city Essen in the heart of the Ruhrpott in Germany. On my travels, I always try to experience the cities and countries through the eyes of locals and those are almost always the best stories I have to tell.

Over the past few years, I noticed a decline in human interaction. It seemed to get harder to have conversations, adventures and experiences. In this time I used couchsurfing over the account of some friends.
But after a talk with a good friend from couchsurfing in Vienna, who let us crash on her couch, I promised myself to create a new account and a new possibility to open up to strangers. I wanted to give back the same hospitality and the same kindness to the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most beautiful things I ever did was a summit hike through the Tatra Mountains (you can see it in one of my pictures). The sun shone on us all day and carried us almost singlehandly the hellish way through the mountains. But it was all worth it, when you have a view like that.
