About Me

Hi! I'm Tousif from Raipur, Chhattisgarh. I work full-time, but my heart is always on the road. I love exploring new places, meeting people from different cultures, and creating memories that no camera can fully capture.

So far, I've had amazing experiences in Darjeeling and Gangtok - from peaceful mornings in the hills to warm conversations with locals. For me, travel is all about being present, curious, and open to surprises.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I believe the real beauty of any place lies in its people. Couchsurfing gives us a chance to connect beyond travel tips - to truly experience daily life, stories, and hospitality across cultures. I'm here to meet, learn, and share.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - Not a hardcore reader, but I enjoy real-life travel stories, short inspiring books, and anything that doesn't put me to sleep in 10 pages. Open to suggestions (especially the ones with maps or motorcycle journeys in them).

Music - Mood-based: Sometimes Bollywood, sometimes indie, sometimes just instrumentals while staring at mountains. Arijit Singh for long rides, and lo-fi beats when I'm pretending to be productive.

Movies - Big fan of travel-based films, feel-good stories, and anything with a good message (or good scenery!). Favorites include Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Into the Wild, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (yes, cliché but relatable). Also enjoy the occasional thriller and Netflix documentaries when not on the

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I rode my own scooty all the way to Darjeeling-yes, in winter, yes, with all the layers I owned, and no, my fingers still haven't forgiven me! The fog was so thick at times, I wasn't sure if I was riding into the hills or into a cloud. But every turn came with views that made it totally worth it.

After that, I wasn't done. I rented a bike from Gangtok and rode through North and East Sikkim, crossing narrow mountain roads, frozen waterfalls, and the kind of silence that only the mountains can offer. Between freezing hands, confused GPS signals, and random roadside chai stops, it turned into one of the most adventurous (and slightly insane) things I've ever done. And I'd do it all over again.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:

I can share some useful travel hacks for exploring India safely and on a budget, including offbeat places and how to travel like a local. I'd love to teach a bit of Hindi or my regional language to anyone interested. I'm also passionate about music and films - I can introduce you to Indian playlists and iconic movies from my culture. And of course, I enjoy sharing travel stories and the lessons they've taught me.

Learn :
I'm always curious to learn about different cultures, local ways of life, and traditional cooking styles. I'd love to pick up some words from your language, discover your favorite local music, and hear stories from your travels or community. I'm open to learning anything meaningful or fun!

Share:

I can share a good conversation, a few laughs, and travel experiences from across India. If we get the chance, I'd love to cook a simple Indian meal or chai for you. I also enjoy sharing music, stories, and time exploring new places with new people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm easygoing, respectful, and always happy to help out. Whether it's sharing travel stories, learning something new, or just being a good guest - I come with an open mind and positive energy. Also, I travel light (in luggage and expectations)!
