I'm Yi-Ting.
I used to be a special education teacher at a junior high school. I am about to start a working holiday in Germany and travel around Europe.

I enjoy reading, music, playing table tennis, and I am a beginner in ballet and German. I speak Chinese and conversational English.

I have a somewhat quiet personality and enjoy spending time alone. I am very interested in different cultures, lifestyles, and perspectives.

During this year, I hope to make many friends, experience different cultures, and develop a broader worldview, getting to know the world and myself better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use Couchsurfing because it gives me the opportunity to connect with locals and many travelers. I hope to gain a deeper understanding of local life, step out of my comfort zone, and exchange ideas with people from different cultures and backgrounds. This will help me realize my dream of being a backpacker.

Interests

Reading:
Every weekend, I often find myself strolling through the city, inevitably ending up at a bookstore or library. I mostly read novels, but sometimes I also enjoy psychology or philosophy books.

Table Tennis:
During my four years in university, I joined the department's table tennis team and served as the captain for one year. Although I'm not very good, I love the sound of the ball hitting the paddle and the table, as well as the feeling of teamwork in doubles matches.

Listening to Music:
I believe music is an indispensable part of life. It's perfect for mornings, before bed, and when I'm feeling relaxed or sad. I usually listen to light music or Chinese pop songs. Additionally, I enjoy many musicals such as Les Misérables, Romeo and Juliet, and The Phantom of the Opera.

Ballet:
I have been learning ballet for almost a year now, and I find it quite fascinating. It is a sport that combines strength and beauty.

Some classics, like Dream of the Red Chamber and Northanger Abbey.
And some romance novels.

Movies:
Avatar, Studio Ghibli films, and movies about family, love, or biographical films.

Taiwanese Cuisine:
Taiwan has many delicious snacks. I have taken basic Chinese cooking classes. Although I am not very skilled, if I can find the right ingredients, I am eager to share culinary experiences with others.

Learn:
I am interested in learning yoga, water activities (canoeing, SUP, etc.), musical instruments, dance, German, English, various cuisines, and different cultures.
