Hello everyone. My name is Mevlüt.I studied Finance at Istanbul University. I have a partial orthopedic disability in my left foot due to an accident in the past. I have a slight gait disorder, but this has never stopped me from traveling or enjoying life. I’m a relaxed and open-minded person who loves simplicity. Despite everything, I truly love life. I enjoy meeting new people, talking with strangers, and having deep conversations. I respect and accept all kinds of personalities. A monotonous life is definitely not my style. I believe that working endlessly in a commodified system is a form of modern slavery. That’s why I travel whenever I get the chance. I’m also planning to quit my job soon, take my backpack, and start a world tour. My hobbies include listening to music, playing table tennis, watching movies and TV series, traveling, discovering different cultures, and meeting people from all around the world. I always try to empathize with others and stay flexible and understanding when I meet new people. My life philosophy is simple: DISCOVER, LEARN, LOVE. MY IDEAL GUEST: 🔆A person who is in constant communication with me in accordance with the spirit of CS. (If there is a sudden change in your travel plans; please be sure to notify the host, me, of the cancellation). Time is very valuable to me so please do not waste my time. 🔆A person who does not use my house as a hotel or guesthouse. 🔆I am allergic to smoking indoors. Smoking is only allowed on the balcony. 🔆A person who wants to spend time with me, enjoys sharing travel stories, is interested in my culture, wants to have a good time together, wants to create memories, respects people's beliefs and home lifestyles. 🔆A guest who keeps the place tidy and respects cleanliness.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is more than just a way to find free accommodation — it is a culture and a lifestyle. It offers the chance to meet people from all around the world, explore different cultures up close, and enjoy truly local experiences. For me, Couchsurfing is about creating meaningful connections and unforgettable memories through shared hospitality and cultural exchange. It appeals to travelers who seek authentic, immersive experiences beyond traditional tourism. What makes Couchsurfing especially attractive to me is the opportunity it provides to broaden my perspective on the world, discover new cultures, and make friends wherever I go. I love traveling, and I am here to learn new things, experience diverse cultures, and build friendships across the globe. Before requesting accommodation at my home, I kindly ask you to carefully read my profile. To ensure I know you have read my profile, please remember to begin your message with "ADELE" This way, I will understand that you have read my profile and will consider your request. Thank you for your understanding.

One Amazing Thing I've Done
1) “🇧🇷 In 2017, I hosted Daniele Gomez, a Brazilian traveler who had participated in international beauty pageants, at my home in Istanbul for three nights. 2)🌊 I swam alone in the Red Sea. 3)🇪🇬 I hitchhiked for three hours on the outskirts of Aswan; although many cars stopped in front of me, no one picked me up, and I realized that most Egyptians don't know that hitchhiking is free. 4)🌄 My sister and I spent a night in the Kapuzbaşı Waterfall Valley, the highest waterfall in Türkiye, in a very cold, dark, and noisy valley with no internet. 5)🏍️ I had an action-packed and quite frightening traffic adventure on a motorcycle in Cairo, one of the most populous cities in the world. 6)🇨🇳 Chinese travelers who came to my house prepared special Chinese food for me because it was my birthday. 7)🇨🇭 On a very cold, snowy, and stormy day, I went on an action-packed hike to Çamlıca Hill, one of the highest points in Istanbul, with my Swiss travel companions. 8)I spent a day in Aswan dressed like Nubians, experienced their culture, and stayed for two nights in a Nubian house made entirely of stone. 9) I spent a night in the Bedouin desert in Sharm El Sheikh; I watched very interesting and action-packed shows filled with snakes, monkeys, scorpions, crocodiles, and fiery dance performances.
