Overview
About Me
I grew up a very happy kid in a rural town in the south of the Netherlands with a German mom and Dutch dad. I always liked the comfort of my own home and to be honest I was never much of a traveller. However, as of lately I've been wanting to explore more. My dream/endgoal is to live in a camper with my doggie and spend as much time as I can in warmer climates. In my free time you will find me DJ-ing at home or in local clubs, playing minecraft or working on my own software projects (mostly about automatic repetitive tasks). At night I will usually be cooking and trying new dishes (mostly Indian and Italian). Personality wise I would say I am straight up and very honest. I have stage fright (which is kinda funny for a DJ). I enjoy silly humour like voice-overs, memes, fail videos, practical jokes and play of words. I can be very serious but usually I am not.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I prefer meeting and staying with locals over spending a lot of money on hotels. I'd much rather spend that money on fun activities 😁. Also I like to explore different countries through food culture, since my country doesn't really a have food culture.
Interests
- music
- gaming
- programming
Music, Movies, and Books
I have one true passion which is Drum 'n Bass. But I also enjoy other genres like classick/progressive rock, Hip-Hop, eurohouse, NU disco, techhouse and hardcore.
In regard to movies, I've lately been enjoying drama's and murder mysteries but in general I would say I mostly prefer comedy, action and thrillers.
I don't read books 😉
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While working for a ride sharing company as an errand boy I reversed their (terrible) app, built my own and got promoted right into headquarters 😊
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little bit about many things. I could show you how to disassemble a carburator but not how to replace timing belts. I know how to do a heelflip but not a kickflip. I know how to DJ but I'm no James Hype. I also know a bunch about 3D printing and lasercutting. There are also some things which I can still learn a lot about like politics, geography and the stock market.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My knowledge of programming, 3D printing, mopeds, music and a little bit of Indian cuisine.
My emotional support if you need it. My humour, if I may say so myself. And funny stories about life decisions I have made in the past.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Italy, Poland, Spain, Turkey
Countries I’ve Lived In
