I'm a foodie and when traveling it's important to me to get a taste of the local cuisine while experiencing the culture. That's what I enjoy about Cleveland. There's celebration of lots of cultures and it can feel like you're practically in a different world just by going to another neighborhood. There's Little Italy, AsiaTown, Slovak Village, just to name a few. Then, to be on Lake Erie is fantastic. It's so vast, it's like an ocean. So much high quality arts and culture like the Cleveland Orchestra, Museum of Art, MOCA, and more, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Major and minor league sports, of course. I love to learn, discover, and enjoy life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting people and sharing experiences. The attraction may be a place to stay, yet the real benefit, I believe, is developing friendships. Having a local perspective is so much better than doing a standard tourist trip staying at a hotel that's nearly the same anywhere. I love the concept and always want to leave a place somehow better than it was before. Appreciate how that's reinforced in Couchsurfing expectations, too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love it all! My passion is music and playing piano whenever I can. From classics to contemporary, I'm open. Recently, I've been to classical music concerts, seen pop shows, enjoyed international film festival features and read some non-fiction. It's hard to pinpoint any favorites, but mostly I've been gravitating towards biopics and stories based on true stories. Can't beat nature. Truth is often stranger than fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I climbed over the Gobi desert. Lots of sand dunes and it was so breathtaking to get to the top and see to the other side. Magical.
