Hi, I'm Anouchka. I live in Rennes, Fr, a really cool, progressive city in beautiful Brittany, less than an hour ride from the sea and a culture hot-spot as well. I'm a primary school teacher but am currently taking a few months off of my job to travel a bit, wwoof, play music and write. Things I love, among others, are music, anything sea or nature related, sharing time and projects with friends, reading and writing, dancing, hiking, cooking plant based food, deep conversations, travelling and meeting new, inspiring folks!
I'm new as can be to couch surfing, something I've been willing to do as a host for almost a decade as a means to connect with folks from all around the world when travelling was not compatible with my own life-but, for sensory reasons, my former-partner could not deal with too many changes/ people around the house, and I've been living with room mates since (which I love! 🙂) where it's more difficult.
I am currently unable to host as I'm staying with a friend before leaving this summer, but if you're in town, please feel free to reach out, I can show you around, or maybe drive you to the sea 🙂!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music nerd here, i go to a ton of concerts, preferably in small venues, play the harp like it's a guitar, the bass like a 3 years old, keyboards like I've studied the harpsichord and guitar mostly when my students challenge me to do so because *they like that song*. Sometimes I sing but I'm kinda shy. Once, I danced barefoot to Patti Smith singing Dancing barefoot, in a zoo. I read at least four books at a time, do not have Netflix or even a TV and the pace of my life won't allow me to go to the movies as much as I'd like to but I love it.
