Hi there 🌼
I'm Kamila from the Czech Republic 🙋🏻‍♀️, currently a typical example of a lost girl in her 20s trying to fulfill her dreams, studying and saving the world at the same time. I am a recent graduate of Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic, where I earned a degree in Social and Humanitarian Work.

💫 I am a big dreamer with an open heart and great gratitude for everything I have in life. I love traveling, discovering new cultures, and meeting new people from around the world. I am attracted to the idea of a life with a backpack on my back. Thanks to my field of study at university, I am more interested in human rights, volunteer work, and trying to change the world with small steps. I find joy in spending time with family, friends, good coffee, sunrises, and nature. I have quite conflicting visions for my life: on one hand, I see myself in a Victorian cottage in the English countryside, and on the other, as a humanitarian worker with a backpack on a mission in the Middle East.

In my free time, I enjoy reading (mainly English classics), cooking, watching movies, gardening, and spending time with friends or animals 🐕🌄🌱

Now I live alternately in Olomouc and Brno:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was inspired to register to Couchsurfing by my solo travels around England, during which I wanted to meet new people, socialize, and spend time over coffee, shared dinners, board games, or a pint.

In the future, I also plan to do more similar trips and would like to travel more cost-effectively while also meeting new people. Therefore, I would love to use someone's couch around the world and also would like to offer a place to sleep or just hang out to others in my shared apartment in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music of all kinds, from indie folk and Irish folklore to oldies and pop 🎶

My favorite song is "Home" by Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, and I also love artists like The Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, and Harry Styles.

I might be almost addicted to TV shows and movies. I love romances, and sitcoms, but also documentaries and action films. Some of my favorites are Friends, The Big Bang Theory, Sherlock Holmes, Schitt's Creek, Gilmore Girls, and among movies, Pride and Prejudice, Eat, Pray, Love, The Lord of the Rings, Paddington, and Forrest Gump.

I can literally watch and listen to anything but I have my comfort music and movies 💛

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my travel experiences and memories, and exchange advice and tips. I enjoy discussing deep and important topics such as human rights or environmental protection. I have a lot of experience in humanitarian and social work and volunteering.

I will be grateful for the opportunity to practice the language. I love sharing my culinary skills, enjoying shared dinners, baking and cooking, and movie nights. With a bit of wine, I play board games, sing, and swoon over actors and singers. I can share my culture.
