Hi my name is Adam and I've been an artist all my life. I began as a figure skater from the age of 7 and trained in Canada up until age 18. When I left the sport I transitioned into photography through my interests in the philosophies behind martial arts and the act of observation. In my career as a photographer I have been fortunate to be recognized by Benetton's creative research center FABRICA in Italy, where I was a resident artist in 2006, and subsequently forged a career in photojournalism with the New York Times starting in South Asia. In 2018 I made a departure to explore the art of acting as a regular background performer for 3 seasons of the television series Star Trek : Discovery, where I played an ensign engineering officer serving as a member of the bridge crew alongside the main cast. Currently I am exploring photography again and looking to forge a new path for myself as an artist. Apart from my career I have also had the pleasure of organizing 3 TEDx conferences in the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and was a fellow of the TED conferences from 2009 to 2021. I have also had a long association with Tibetan buddhism, which began soon after I arrived in India in 2002. On that point, I lived in India from 2002 to 2010 and recently made a brief return in 2024. Currently I am exploring opportunities in Europe and following my intuitions for where life should take me next.

Well I had my first experience with this concept on a different platform (trustroots) this summer of 2024 in Avignon after a visit to Arles and it was truly a special experience. I'm hoping to continue this beautiful experience into my onward journey as I find my place in the world.

This is quite eclectic but I really like innerbloom by rufus do sol at the moment, and I'm interested to see the rest of Perfect Days by Wim Wenders, which I started watching on my last plane travel from Delhi to Doha. Books, well again I read a lot, but I really like J. Krishnamurti's writings and I also started reading E.H. Gombrich's the Story of Art, which I think I would like a lot too.
