My name is Irene and I moved to Germany only a month ago. I’m currently living in Heidelberg, but ever since I discovered the D-Ticket I’m all around.

I used to work as a translator and interpreter, as well as English and Spanish teacher. Languages are a beautiful thing and working with people is something that I love, so this was a perfect match. However, I’m now in the middle of a job hunt open to whatever comes.

Nature is also a big part of my life. I love being outdoors and exploring wildlife. A hike is always the perfect excuse to meet with friends and have a great time! Or, if you prefer, we could always go on a little bike tour.

I love the couchsurfing community and now I want to be an active member of it. This idea of bringing people together and sharing bits of one’s life is wonderful.

Also, whenever I’m travelling, I love the feeling of belonging to this community: meeting other surfers, discovering other places.
