Somos Andrés y Aldara, compañeros de vida y de corazón. Somos dos jóvenes españoles (Andrés también es peruano) de la Sierra de Madrid.

Nos conocimos por amigos de amigos hace muchos años, y la vida nos juntó y nos alejó varias veces hasta que nos dimos cuenta de que estábamos enamorados el uno del otro. Desde entonces compartimos una relación de amor libre, donde nos dejamos ser nosotros mismos y valoramos el estar, sin poseer y sin imponer jerarquías.

Intentamos tener los pies en la tierra y la mirada en el cielo, buscando siempre ese equilibrio. Nos gusta practicar idiomas (inglés, francés, y Aldara también portugués y árabe), escuchar música, bailar chachachá (aprendiendo), jugar a juegos de mesa (Uno, el Impostor, Dobble, bingo...), hacer senderismo en la montaña, montar en bici por el campo, charlar sobre la mente, los sueños y el sentido de la vida, explorar estados alterados de consciencia.... También nos gusta cocinar juntos, probar nuevas recetas y sabores (sobre todo, Andrés es muy bueno cocinando).

Básicamente, estamos agradecidos por la oportunidad de existir y tratamos de aprovechar ese regalo de infinita generosidad que es la vida, apreciando los pequeños detalles, la buena compañía y explorando el mundo con la curiosidad de un niño y la humildad de un anciano.

We are Andrés and Aldara, partners in life and in love. We are two young Spaniards (Andrés is also Peruvian) from the Sierra de Madrid.

We met through mutual friends many years ago, and life brought us together and pulled us apart several times until we realised we were in love with one another. Since then, we have shared an open relationship, where we allow ourselves to be ourselves and value simply being together, without possessiveness and without imposing hierarchies.

We try to keep our feet on the ground and our eyes on the sky, always seeking that balance. We enjoy practising languages (English, French, and Aldara also speaks Portuguese and Arabic), listening to music, dancing the cha-cha-cha (we’re still learning), playing board games (Uno, The Impostor, Dobble, bingo...), hiking in the mountains, cycling through the countryside, chatting about the mind, dreams and the meaning of life, and exploring altered states of consciousness... We also enjoy cooking together, trying out new recipes and flavours (Andrés, in particular, is a brilliant cook).

Basically, we’re grateful for the chance to be here, and we try to make the most of that infinitely generous gift that is life, appreciating the little things, good company, and exploring the world with a child’s curiosity and an elder’s humility.

Estamos en Couchsurfing porque tenemos el sueño de viajar diferente, descubrir los lugares desde dentro, desde la gente que vive en ellos, y crear conexiones auténticas con los demás, convirtiendo a los desconocidos en amigos.

Yo (Aldara) ya probé Couchsurfing una vez con una amiga en Italia y nos encantó la experiencia (¡Puedes leer el comentario que nos dejaron!). Ahora quiero enseñarle a mi compañero cómo funciona esta plataforma y la filosofía y la gente maravillosa que hay detrás.

Andrés: Escucho todo tipo de música, con letra o sin letra, techno, salsa, DnB, reggae, pop, música clásica, LoFi-Hip Hop, Rap...; me gustan las pelis que te hacen pensar como El show de Truman, La vida de Pi, Origen (Inception)...; de libros me gusta leer sobre filosofía y crecimiento personal, también me gusta leer los clásico de la literatura y poemas sobre el amor.

Aldara: Me gusta todo tipo de música: reggae, pop, rock (Extremoduro), electrónica (Iseo & Dodosound), rap (Ricky Hombre Libre)...; de pelis, tipo Interestellar y Origen (Inception); de libros, me encanta la novela filosófica y el realismo mágico (Hermann Hesse, Isabel Allende...).

Aldara:
Soy una apasionada de los sueños y llevo 6 años escribiendo un diario de sueños. Puedo compartir e intercambiar experiencias/conocimientos sobre sueños lúcidos, parálisis del sueño, simbología onírica... de hecho, llevo unos años escribiendo una novela sobre sueños (la llamo Mi novela interminable... porque la escribo a ratos y nunca la termino...).

Andrés:
Se me da bien escuchar a los demás y escucharme a mi mismo, siempre intento enseñar lo que he aprendido a lo largo de mi vida a los demás para ayudar de alguna manera a solucionar un problema o un pensamiento que no se va. A veces saber escuchar puede ayudar a alguien a llevar cualquier problema que tiene un poco mejor.

Aldara: I’m passionate about dreams and have been keeping a dream journal for six years. I’d be happy to share and exchange experiences and knowledge about lucid dreaming, sleep paralysis, dream symbolism… In fact, I’ve been writing a novel about dreams for a few years now (I call it My Never-Ending Novel… because I write it in bits and pieces and never seem to finish it…).

Andrés: I’m good at listening to others and listening to myself. I always try to share what I’ve learned throughout my life with others to help them in some way—whether it’s solving a problem or dealing with a persistent worry. Sometimes, just knowing how to listen can help someone cope a little better with whatever problem they’re facing.

Hace tiempo me propuse ser políglota y por eso estoy aprendiendo mi quinto idioma (portugués). Hablo español, inglés y francés con fluidez y chapurreo un poco de árabe estándar. Siempre estoy encantada de enseñar y de aprender más sobre cualquiera de estos idiomas.

Andrés:
Sé hablar lenguajes de programación como Java, JavaScript o Python y puedo enseñarte a crear tu web o mejorar el diseño para que sea más accesible. También me gusta mucho el auto-conocimiento y me gusta enseñar y compartir los tips que me ayudan a hacerlo más fácil

Aldara: Some time ago, I set myself the goal of becoming multilingual, which is why I’m currently learning my fifth language (Portuguese). I speak Spanish, English and French fluently and can get by in a bit of Modern Standard Arabic. I’m always delighted to teach and learn more about any of these languages.

Andrés: I speak programming languages ​​like Java, JavaScript, and Python, and I can teach you how to create your website or improve its design to make it more accessible. I also really enjoy self-discovery and like to teach and share the tips that help me do it more easily.

Andrés:
Me gusta cocinar y probar nuevos sabores, siempre que puedo utilizo un ingrediente diferente al de la receta original. Se me da bien cocinar tortilla de patata, ensaladas, salsas, pisto manchego...; también se me da bien reparar ordenadores o cualquier cosa que se pueda arreglar con las manos. También puedo aportar mis conocimientos acerca de programación Web ayudante a crear tu propia página web o mejorar el diseño de la misma.

Aldara: I’m passionate about languages and have training and some experience in this field, so I could give lessons or help improve your Spanish, French or English. I’m also good with children and teenagers, and I love cats and dogs, so I could look after them if needed.

Andrés: I enjoy cooking and trying new flavors, and whenever possible, I use a different ingredient than the original recipe. I'm good at making torilla of potato, salads, sauces, Pisto Manchego. I'm also good at repairing computers or anything else that can be fixed by hand. I can also contribute my knowledge of web programming to help you create your own website or improve its design.
