About Me

Hi ! I have just created my own profile, but usually I host and couch with my girlfriend Anouchka ;) We have been using Couchsurfing for about four years and we had plenty of good experiences. (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/anouchka-lannaud)

So I am a student in architecture and I also graduated in civil engineering, and I am very passionate ! so I love talking about cities, bridges, buildings etc. (but I am also open to other discussion subjects aha). Having said that, I like to listen to people who are very enthusiastic, because they can easily get you interested in a subject you didn't care about previously.

I have a quite simple first name but I realized recently that it is very hard to pronounce for non french-speeking people. So feel free to call me "Rrrréné" or "Ronie" I think both suit me vey well !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I use Couchsurfing because I think it's very important to meet local people when we travel. I felt like missing something everytime I traveled without talking to local residents. I also like visiting countries out of the most touristic paths. I assume that people would also like to know the underestimated spots of my city, so Couchsurfing is definitly a good way to have a more immersive travel experience.
And I think that it is essential to help each other despite our cultural differencies. Couchsurfing is a good circle of trust.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love some very different kind of music (like evryone I assume). First of all I like hard rock and metal (Megadeath, System of a Down, Gojira). I rarely go to concerts, but I really love it every time I get motivated. My best memories of concerts were Sabaton, Rammstein and more recently Cannibal Corpse.
I'm also into hip-hop, I used to listen a lot of american rap, but I'm over it now. I sometimes listen to french rap.
I had a techno-period a few years ago but I don't think that I am a big fan of electronic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am a very bad storyteller and the funnier fact that I remember now is not so extraordinary aha... ! So my girlfriend and I were hiking in the mountains in Romania, and a storm came up and soaked us. We desespereatly found a shelter in front of a forester's house. At one point, a man came and opened the house. Without asking anything he just offered us a glass of Palinka. We spent the rest of the day watching the storm sipping what he had given to us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would like to spend time with my hosts, talking about our respective experiences. I would be glad to discuss about many debates, while wandering in the city.
