Hello there !

I’m Naïm, a young guy from France who decided to live new experiences and open up to the world. My philosophy is simple: open yourself to new perspectives, new people, new ideas, just new things in general.

After teaching music in a middle school for a year, I felt it was the right time to stop thinking too much and just go for a big adventure. So I grabbed two backpacks, and here I am!

I’ve been on the road since last November, and this journey is almost coming to an end. I’ve had the chance to discover Germany, Finland, and Norway, mostly through Workaway, which helped me learn and grow a lot.

But now, I want to travel more freely. No more Workaway, just discovering places, meeting people, and sharing life as it comes. That’s why Couchsurfing feels like the perfect way to end my trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing, for me, is all about exchanging perspectives on life. I love it because it allows me to travel while continuing to learn about myself and about others.

It’s such an open-minded way to connect with people from different countries and get into their daily life. I really enjoy seeing how others live, think, and experience the world, it helps me grow too.

Interests

I’m curious about a lot of things, and my interests keep changing. Lately, I’ve been preparing for the GR20, I’m a bit obsessed with hiking and mountains! I also want to learn more about healthy cooking and how to take care of my body and my mind.

I love watching films that make me think. Not just watching, but really thinking about the story, the meaning, the way it's made.
Also, I’ve recently gotten into chess! I usually play on my phone, but if you have a board and want to play a few games, I’d be really happy to share that moment 😊

Music, Movies, and Books

As a music teacher, I am open to a lot of music's and songs. My favorite type of music are jazz, alternative rock and rap. But I am always happy to share my music taste with someone else and listen to their own music taste.

Right now I want to learn a lot so I am more into theoric book but when I was younger, my favorite book was "Eragon" !

Movies are like music for me. I can watch any type of movie as long as Its well made or with a good story. If I have to choose, I really like movies with an incredible plot twist like "Seven" or "Shutter Island".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a bus that goes through all Laponia from Rovaniemi to Tromsø. It was so great and so short despite 9 hours of travel.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d be happy to share what I know about music theory, especially the basics. If there’s a piano around, I can show you some chords so you can start playing lots of songs!
I also love sharing French lessons if you’re interested 😊

I’m really curious about how people live in other cultures. I love hearing different perspectives and ways of thinking. I'm always trying to improve in languages and learn new ones too.

I’m a pretty chill person, and I love good food. My favorite activities are simple: walking around a city and talking, or going for a hike in nature.
I enjoy cooking with others, sharing good conversation, and if you're into movies or TV shows, that’s definitely something I’d love to do together. Discovering new films is always a fun experience for me !

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to cook and clean (surfaces are so satisfying to clean for me). As a musician , I can also play a lot of songs if you have a piano or try if you have a guitar. I am always happy to share music and play with someone else. I can also invite you in your favorite restaurant !
