Hello, I’m Marie!
I’m 25 years old and on a working holiday in Australia since the end of November. I came here on a whim for my first solo trip, and it’s also my first time outside of Europe! My English isn’t perfect yet, but becoming fluent is one of my biggest goals for this trip.

I’m passionate about sports – running, fitness, and swimming – though I haven't quite found my routine here yet. I’m really excited to learn how to surf, but I’ll only trust the waves at Bondi Beach, as I’m still a bit scared of sharks. In France, I’m a lifeguard in the summer, but I’ll admit, the sea here feels a bit more intimidating with these creatures (I love animal by the way) !

I absolutely love animals and can’t wait to meet some new furry friends during my stay. I’m also a pretty good cook when I put my mind to it, although I must admit, I do miss my French cheese – it’s just not the same here! But I’m looking forward to discovering the local specialties.

I’m on Couchsurfing because I love meeting new people and connecting with them. I also enjoy helping out, as I’m familiar with the instability that can come with embarking on an adventure, and I’ll be happy to do so as soon as the opportunity arises

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, and I’m pretty fan of action comedies. When I was younger, I used to read all night long under my blanket, but that feels like a long time ago, and I should definitely get back into that habit !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’m not sure if it’s "amazing," but I grew up on a farm with 8 siblings, and I have plenty of wild stories from that time ! I’ll save them for when we meet :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d be happy to teach you French or show you how to make delicious crêpes ! I also play the piano, so I can teach you a bit if you’re interested. I’m just starting to learn surfing, and I don’t have my own board yet, but I’d love to have a session with you and get some tips !
