Overview
About Me
Hello travelers! I'm Farzaneh (Feri for short). Born and raised in Mashhad, I split my time between my sales career and pursuing my architectural interests. You'll find me sketching historic buildings one day and racing on my surfskate the next!
I'm the friend who plans spontaneous road trips at midnight but also remembers to bring extra snacks and a first aid kit. My apartment is filled with architectural models, travel souvenirs, and photos of street cats I've befriended across Iran.
As your host or guest, I promise engaging conversations without invading your personal bubble. I'm an early riser who enjoys morning walks but can adapt to night owls too!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Seeking authentic cultural exchanges beyond tourist attractions. My travel philosophy: locals know the soul of a place better than any guidebook. I treasure those unexpected moments – like sharing tea with strangers who become friends or discovering hidden gems down forgotten alleys

Devoted to Persian hip-hop that blends traditional instruments with modern beats. Currently reading "The Conference of the Birds" by Attar. Favorite film: "A Separation" by Asghar Farhadi. Ask me about underground Iranian music scenes!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Pioneered women's surfskating in conservative Mashhad! After teaching myself through YouTube videos, I now lead "We Surf Skate In Iran" community workshops teaching young women confidence through sport. We transformed an abandoned lot into a DIY skate park using recycled materials. And also i surfing in Sistan va Baloochestan Province
Teach, Learn, Share
Advanced surfskate techniques, traditional Persian calligraphy, how to navigate Iranian social customs.
Want to learn: Your local street art scenes, sustainable travel practices, your grandmother's recipes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll bring the essence of Persian "tarof" (elaborate courtesy) to your home! Beyond cooking saffron-infused feasts, I can:
Share architectural insights about your city's buildings
Photograph your family/pets with professional quality
Teach you Persian card games passed down for generations
Help practice language skills (my students say I'm patient!)
Offer genuine Persian handicrafts as thank-you gifts
I'm equally comfortable joining lively gatherings or respecting quiet evenings. Your home rules are sacred to me.
