Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Murat, based in Osmanbey, Istanbul.
I used to be a 5-star Airbnb host and really enjoy meeting travelers from all over the world.
I work in clinical research, love science fiction, cooking, and good coffee.
I live with my dog — we usually sleep on the couch, so guests have the private bedroom all to themselves.
My home is cozy, relaxed, and in a perfect location to explore Istanbul.
No discrimination of any kind is tolerated here — sexuality, gender, race, whatever.
If you’re respectful, you’re welcome. Simple as that.🌈
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I believe travel is about people, not just places.
I’ve hosted many guests before, and each one left me with great memories.
I enjoy the idea of cultural exchange and genuine connection — not just offering a place to sleep.
Interests
I’m passionate about stories — from ancient civilizations to futuristic sci-fi worlds.
I love cooking Turkish dishes (and experimenting with healthy recipes), training at the gym, and taking long walks with my dog around Nişantaşı and Maçka Park.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a bit of everything — chill, ambient.
Favorite books: any novels.
Movies: anything thought-provoking.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some Turkish phrases, local culture, or how to make good Turkish coffee.
I’d love to learn about your country, daily life, and your favorite local foods.
We can share stories over dinner or a walk with my dog.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Respect, cleanliness, and positive energy.
I always help with small things at home and enjoy cooking a meal as a thank you.
