EN - My name is Claudio, I’m 26 years old and I’m a landscape architect. I was born in Porto, Portugal, and when I was 12 I moved to the beautiful island of São Miguel, in the Azores, where I have some family. I returned to Porto at 18 to study landscape architecture.
I graduated two years ago, in 2023, and started working in Lisbon at a landscape architecture studio.

In early April 2025, I left my job in Lisbon and decided to embark on a different experience: moving to Italy for six months to live in an ecovillage in Torri, near Ventimiglia. I started the European volunteering program promoted by the European Solidarity Corps and I am very eager to explore this charming country that is Italy, and to get to know its culture and its people.

IT - Mi chiamo Claudio, ho 26 anni e sono un architetto del paesaggio. Sono nato a Porto, in Portogallo, e a 12 anni mi sono trasferito sulla meravigliosa isola di São Miguel, nelle Azzorre, dove ho alcuni familiari. A 18 anni sono tornato a Porto per studiare architettura del paesaggio.
Mi sono laureato due anni fa, nel 2023, e ho iniziato a lavorare a Lisbona in uno studio di architettura del paesaggio.

Attualmente ho lasciato il lavoro e ho deciso di vivere un’esperienza diversa: trasferirmi in Italia per sei mesi e vivere in un ecovillaggio a Torri, vicino a Ventimiglia.

EN - In early April 2025, I left my job in Lisbon and decided to live a different kind of experience: moving to Italy for six months to live in an ecovillage in Torri, near Ventimiglia. This way, I aim to travel and get to know this wonderful country in the most affordable way possible, while also sharing a bit of myself, my culture, and my experience.

IT - All'inizio di aprile 2025, ho lasciato il mio lavoro a Lisbona e ho deciso di vivere un’esperienza diversa: trasferirmi in Italia per sei mesi e vivere in un ecovillaggio a Torri, vicino a Ventimiglia. In questo modo, ho l’ambizione di viaggiare e conoscere questo meraviglioso Paese nel modo più economico possibile, condividendo allo stesso tempo un po’ di me, della mia cultura e della mia esperienza.

Music
I have very diverse tastes that adapt to different circumstances. One song and artist that have been with me from an early age is the Australian musician Matt Corby and his song Brother.

Film
In its introspective and complex yet simple approach, my favorite film is The Tree of Life, starring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn, and Jessica Chastain.

Literature
I’m especially passionate about poetry, although most of my literary references are Portuguese. So I’ll mention one of the greatest Portuguese poets, Fernando Pessoa, and his work The Book of Disquiet, written under his semi-heteronym Bernardo Soares.
