About Me

Hi! I’m Rafael, a Brazilian currently based in Canada, passionate about discovering new places, cultures, and people. I’m always chasing experiences — whether it’s snowboarding in the mountains, exploring ancient ruins, or getting lost in the streets of a new city with a good cup of coffee in hand.

I work in project management, but travel is definitely my favorite “project”! I believe every person we meet has something to teach us, and that the best way to experience a place is through the eyes of a local.

I’m an easygoing, respectful, and curious guest who loves meaningful conversations, local tips, and sharing stories. I enjoy both nature and cities, from turquoise coastlines to historic streets. I’m passionate for cooking and help with anything around the house if I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m on Couchsurfing because I believe the best way to experience a new place is through its people. I’m not just looking for a place to sleep — I’m looking for meaningful connections, cultural exchange, good conversations, and new perspectives.

I love sharing travel stories and learning about local life.
As someone passionate about exploring the world, I find Couchsurfing a beautiful way to build bridges across cultures, make friends, and feel at home, even far from home.

I may be new here, but I’m genuinely excited to be part of this community and to give back in every way I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left my home country to start a new life and career in Canada, all by myself. It was scary, exciting, and one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It taught me how to adapt, trust the journey, and stay open to whatever the world brings.

Since then, I’ve been collecting moments, not things, and every new place I visit reminds me how beautiful it is to step out of your comfort zone.

Teach, Learn, Share

If I request to stay with you, I’d love to share a bottle of wine (or a cup of tea!), cook a meal, and exchange travel stories. There are still so many places I’d love to visit, and I truly enjoy meeting people who share that same curiosity for the world.
Hopefully, we can inspire each other to keep chasing our dreams and living life to the fullest.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share good conversations, a positive vibe, and stories from my travels and life between Brazil and Canada. I’m also passionate about cooking.

I’m respectful, clean, and happy to help around the house if needed. Whether it’s sharing a bottle of wine, going for a walk, or just relaxing and chatting about life, I’m always open to making the experience enjoyable for both sides.
