Hi! I’m Çağan, an 19 years old gap year student, filmmaker and creative writer from Turkey. I’m currently traveling while writing my first book, exploring places, people and ideas to feed the story.

I work as a video editor and I create short films. I love deep conversations, spontaneous creativity, and meeting people who enjoy art, science and philosophy. I’m easygoing, respectful and genuinely curious about different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the best stories don’t come from books but from people. I’m surfing because I want to meet those stories in person. I’m currently traveling while writing my first book, and each new place and conversation feeds my creativity.

For me, Couchsurfing is not just about accommodation—it’s about sharing ideas, cultures and moments that can’t be planned. I love late-night talks, spontaneous walks, and discovering how people in different parts of the world see life.

I don’t travel to check destinations off a list. I travel to connect, to learn, and hopefully to leave with a new perspective (or a good story for my book).
