关于我
Hi! I’m Shuang from China — a digital nomad, content creator, and soon-to-be art student at the École des Beaux-Arts in Cherbourg. My creative work includes podcasting, running online communities, blogging, and making videos. I speak Chinese, English, and some French.
Most of my work happens online, so when I first meet people in person, I can be a little shy, but I warm up quickly once we start sharing stories.
I have a background in English Literature (BA) and International Law (MA), but eventually decided to leave law school to follow a more creative path. I’m passionate about reading — especially on feminism, gender studies, psychology, and education — as well as photography, films, and writing. My art and writing often bring together personal stories and social observations, exploring themes like freedom, human connection, and the small, meaningful moments in everyday life.
我为什么加入 Couchsurfing
I believe the best part of traveling is meeting people who make you see life from a new angle. That’s why I host Girls off track, a podcast where I invite non-typical women to share diverse life paths and the endless possibilities of living. Through Couchsurfing, I hope to meet more inspiring women (and allies!), exchange stories, and maybe even record a conversation together over coffee or while cooking a meal.
For me, Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay — it’s about sharing moments, ideas, and laughter with people I might never meet otherwise.

音乐、电影和书籍
My favorite filmmaker is Agnes Varda, whose poetic and human-centered films beautifully blend reality and imagination with a feminist spirit.
In books, I’m drawn to thinkers like Jiddu Krishnamurti, who invites me to explore freedom of mind and presence, and Natalie Goldberg, whose writing encourages honesty and mindfulness in creativity.
Music by Sinead O’Connor moves me deeply with its raw emotion and powerful voice, often speaking about love, pain, and resilience.
我做过的一件不可思议的事情
I created a documentary about my mother and grandmother, capturing their everyday lives and quiet moments. Through this film, I aimed to explore what family, memory, and life truly mean to us. It’s a personal tribute to their stories and the strength found in ordinary, often overlooked moments.
