Holaa :) Soy Gaby, de Ecuador, de una ciudad en medio de las montañas llamada Riobamba. Actualmente vivo en Barcelona, España.
Vine a estudiar y a construir un mejor presente y futuro!. Siempre he sido una persona muy familiar y, como diría mi madre, un poco “culo inquieto”: alguien que no puede quedarse quieta, que siempre está explorando, conectando con personas, haciendo fotos, compartiendo y ayudando desde el corazón 🙌🏽.
Crecí entre montañas, campo y animales gracias a mi abuelo agricultor y a mi abuela que tenía una pequeña tienda. Esa mezcla me enseñó desde pequeña a valorar el trabajo, la sencillez y a vivir con buena actitud.
Y lo que me marco, fue crecer con la inspiración de mi madre, que ella es lucha y resiliencia pura ,siempre me animó a aprender idiomas, viajar y ver el mundo, aunque ella no tuvo la oportunidad de hacerlo ,porque dedicó su vida a darme todo.Por eso ahora siento muchas ganas de seguir conociendo el mundo a través de las personas: escuchando sus historias, compartiendo comida, haciendo fotografía y aprendiendo de diferentes culturas.

De mí puedo decir que disfruto mucho quién soy como compañera de viaje y vida. Valoro profundamente lo que me aporta salir de mi zona de confort y migrar de mi país a los 20 años fue solo el comienzo de descubrir todo lo que soy capaz de hacer y de vivir. 🏡❤️‍🩹

Hi :) I’m Gaby, from Ecuador, from a small city in the mountains called Riobamba. I’m currently living in Barcelona, Spain.

I moved here to study and to build a better present and future for myself. I’ve always been a very family-oriented person and, as my mom would say, a bit of a “restless soul” — I can’t really stay still. I’m always exploring, connecting with people, taking photos, sharing, and helping from the heart 🙌🏽
I grew up surrounded by mountains, countryside, and animals, thanks to my grandfather who was a farmer and my grandmother who had a small shop. That mix taught me from a young age to value hard work, simplicity, and to live with a good attitude.

What shaped me the most was growing up inspired by my mom — she’s pure strength and resilience. She always encouraged me to learn languages, travel, and see the world, even though she didn’t have the chance to do it herself because she dedicated her life to giving me everything. That’s why now I feel a strong desire to keep discovering the world through people: listening to their stories, sharing meals, taking photos, and learning from different cultures.

About me — I genuinely enjoy who I am as a travel and life companion. I deeply value everything that comes from stepping out of my comfort zone, and moving to another country at 20 was just the beginning of discovering everything I’m capable of doing and experiencing. 🏡❤️‍🩹

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mi pareja me contó sobre sus viajes por Latinoamérica usando Couchsurfing y sobre el intercambio cultural tan genuino que se crea entre viajeros y locales🫂 Me inspiró mucho escuchar esas historias y por eso decidí unirme también a esta comunidad!

Soy de Ecuador, de la sierra y me encanta la idea de compartir un pedacito de mi cultura, mi forma de ver la vida 🙌🏽y aprender de las personas que voy encontrando en el camino. Para mí viajar no es solo conocer lugares, sino intercambiar historias, perspectivas y momentos reales con la gente local, como hacerle patacones o indicarle música de mi ciudad .

Además, disfruto mucho de las experiencias que me sacan de mi zona de confort (persona todo terreno jaja ) ,porque siento que ahí es donde más aprendemos sobre el mundo y sobre nosotros mismos. Viajar así me parece una forma muy bonita de crecer, de conectar con otras realidades y aportar con un granito de mi parte 🙏🏽

Estoy abierta a conocer, escuchar y compartir — siempre desde el respeto, la curiosidad y las ganas de vivir experiencias auténticas.

My partner told me about their travels around Latin America using Couchsurfing and the kind of genuine cultural exchange that happens between travelers and locals 🫂 It really inspired me, and that’s why I decided to join this community too!

I’m from Ecuador, from the Andes, and I love the idea of sharing a little piece of my culture and my way of seeing life 🙌🏽 while learning from the people I meet along the way. For me, traveling isn’t just about visiting places, but about exchanging stories, perspectives, and real moments with locals — like cooking patacones or sharing music from my hometown.

I also really enjoy experiences that push me out of my comfort zone (I’m pretty adaptable haha), because I feel that’s where we learn the most about the world and about ourselves. Traveling this way feels like a beautiful way to grow, connect with different realities, and contribute even if it’s just in a small way 🙏🏽
