Overview
About Me
Hello! :) My name is Atiye. I’m from Turkey and currently living in Lleida, Spain. I studied English Language and Literature in Turkey and later completed my pedagogical training. I worked as a teacher in Turkey, and I’m now working as an English teacher at a school here in Lleida. I really enjoy being around children. They make me happy :)
I’m a friendly, easy-going, energetic, and cheerful person. I’m open-minded and respectful, and I enjoy meeting new people and connecting with different cultures.
I love not only visiting new places but also learning about different cultures, listening to people’s life stories, and sharing experiences. I really enjoy exchanging ideas, stories, and knowledge with others that’s one of the best parts of traveling for me. I’ve explored Turkey and Romania solo, and now I’m enjoying the freedom of discovering Spain on my own. Traveling alone gives me the chance to really immerse myself in local life, meet interesting people, and embrace the unexpected adventures along the way.
I’m always happy to share good conversations, cultural exchanges, and positive energy 🌍✨

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to music in many different languages French, Spanish, Persian, English, Turkish, and more. I enjoy discovering local music wherever I go, and I’m always happy to share my playlists. Music is a big part of my daily life.🎶
When it comes to movies, I’m especially drawn to meaningful and artistic films. Some of the movies that have influenced me the most are Mandarin, In the Mood for Love, and Taste of Cherry. I also enjoy films by the internationally acclaimed Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, especially Once Upon a Time in Anatolia and Winter Sleep. In general, I love watching films, series, and documentaries from many different countries, with a particular interest in historical documentaries. 🎬
I also enjoy reading books about psychology, education, and personal development. In terms of literature, I read widely from English authors. Some of the works I’ve read include Brave New World and The Time Machine by Aldous Huxley, and The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I also read many works of Turkish literature and enjoy exploring its rich history and themes.📚
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving to another country and continuing my teaching career abroad has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. 🙃It taught me independence, adaptability, and the beauty of cultural exchange.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my experience as a teacher. I’m also good at playing badminton and work as a badminton coach, so I’d be happy to share my skills or play together if you’re interested. I also know how to knit and can teach how to make items like scarves and bags if you’d like to learn something creative and relaxing together 🙃
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good conversations, positive energy, cultural exchange, and respect for your home. I’m clean, responsible, and grateful. I also enjoy cooking together or sharing stories over a cup of tea 🫖 or coffee.☕️
