I’m 19 years old and am currently on a gap year trying to get in as much travelling as possible.

I’m from Edmonton Alberta originally but now live in the beautiful small town of Vernon, British Columbia (British Columbia is home to most of Canada’s natural beauty)

In my free time I enjoy skateboarding and reading. I’m also a big fan of music and movies. I love to listen to people talk about what their passions are and why they love them. Maybe I can even discover something new to try from my hosts or just be exposed to a new point of view.

I can be a little shy but a big purpose of this trip is to get out of my comfort zone and meet new and interesting people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think travelling should be more than just seeing the sights and would like to form a connection with locals. I also don’t have a lot of money to travel and love how cheap couch surfing is

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to mostly older rock music from the 60s - 00s. My favourite bands currently are The Strokes, The Smashing Pumpkins and Pink Floyd. I love the movies of Stanley Kubrick and Quinten Tarantino. My favourite film is probably Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. I read lots, mostly classics , with some of my favourites being East of Eden by John Steinbeck and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.
