About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pass my PhD, see some awkward corners of the world.

ABOUT ME

I absolutely love music, reading and travelling. I've lived in six countries and I'd like to add to that list one day. My ability to learn languages is much slower than my feet, though.

Musically, I love classical, especially Beethoven, as well as a range of modern music, including darkwave, metal, hip hop, jazz, funk and blues. I'm also a proficient skiier, and have taught a number of people in the past (with varying results!). My inability to concentrate on one thing means I have several incomplete projects that one day I would like to finish - I started learning Finnish, Piano, boxing and various other things, and while I love them, my mind wanders too much to finish these days!

I work in Human Rights and I study Terrorism at a PhD level.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll share what I can in exchange for a seat, and once I get settled, Ill repay the favor.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Few times in Israel, Germany and France, and a couple of stop off in London. Met some great people, hope to meet more.

Interests

Skiing, travelling, culture, reading and learning. I also love to eat - feed me something new! Lately I've taken up gardening and have a cocktail-herb garden on my balcony.

Music, Movies, and Books

Evil dead. Horror, comedy, action, preferably all at once. Any factual book. American Psycho, Murakami, King, McCarthy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking in the French Alps in winter and skiiing down a barren mountain is breathtaking, especially when compared to the busy public runs. Feeding wild mice in Finland is a test of patience, but utterly rewarding and captivating. Listening to a full, live orchestra in Canterbury Cathedral was a beautiful experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a very amateur bassist, and know a bit about skiing. Aside from that, i would like to learn a language or a new dish to cook or some cool traditional dance.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Wine, stories and good times.

Countries I’ve Visited

Estonia, Finland, Norway, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, United Kingdom
