ABOUT ME

After discovering Couch Surfing after the Fath World Tour, we made good use of it. We are now ready to return the favour that was given to us so many times around the world.

We own a house in the NW part of Edmonton. We have two spare bedrooms one with a queen size matteress and one with an inflatable mattress(that leaks and needs refilled daily)! We have two cats and do not smoke.

We would be able to show you around more on a weekend then on a weeknight, as we have both been known to get home late from work.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We tell everyone that even mentions traveling, to look at the site. We write the website on book pages before we swap the book at the local hostels.

Jody also teaches a course for Metro Community College that provides tips on traveling around the world. She always shares here couchsurfing experiences with others to spread the word!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We were fortunate enough to stay with excellent people in various locations. We have never had a bad experience and now have a pool of friends all around the world.

Interests

We love to try new foods...and Cory has a stomach of steel so he's always up for a challenge! And even if he gets sick from it...it's always good for a story! Meeting new people, traveling to new places...and all the ever changing challenges that go along with it that make the adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

Cory is a huge Pearl Jam fan & I think Ani Difranco can really rock...but we both like to listen to anything with a good beat....and we do a lot of reading. We don't own a tv :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have met so many great people through traelling most of theme couch surfers who have offered us so many experiences. Scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef and wandering inside a pyramid!! Sharing some sniffing snuff with a Mongolian farmer! Almost getting arrested in Russia for drinking beer by an eternal flame (darn those Finnish boys)! Enjoyed Canada Day in Iceland! Had Australia day in Australia! Machu Picchu, Great Wall, Athens, enjoyed several South American foot ball matches...and survived, Igussau falls, beaches, beaches and more beaches, Tallin....ahhhh... among so many other great times!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Jody's parents have a farm about an hour out of the city so if it works out and you are intetsted in Alberta farm life we may be able to arrange a tour.

If anyone is looking for a good sports conversation...Cory is your guy! If you are looking to learn about Hockey he can hook you up.

Jody is a runner (full and half marathons) and dabbles in Triathalons.

We both enjoy cycling.
