ABOUT ME

I love travelling and sports and work as a filmproducer/ director/ DoP in Austria and the rest of the world. My other passions are cooking and eating delicious and healthy food as well as spending time with friends around the dinner table talking..

But the most important part of my life is definitely my work as a filmmaker. I started out shooting shorts at the age of 18 and basically never stopped from there on. I've tought myself all the necessery knowledge, am still learning to this day and probably will never stop doing so. One of my unwritten rules is to never call myself an expert or a professional in the art of filmmaking, because I am not sure if such a person even exists...

Generally I like to think of myself as easygoing and open-minded. I respect all believes, sexual-orientations and ways-of-live as long as they respect mine and practice tolerance.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Since my parents have been members of Servas (similar to couchsurfing.com) since the early 80s, I've been used to having travellers around me for pretty much all my life. Unfortunately at the moment I don't have the space to host anyone in my apartement in Vienna, but I'm working on it. Other than that I'm participating as an enthusiastic traveller, bringing positive energy to my hosts..

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a member of Couchsurfing and Servas (similar to couchsurfing.com) since I was very little and have since stayed with various hosts at many places in the whole world (USA, Canada, parts of europe, Japan, Africa,...).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all of Jim Jarmusch's films and appreciate socially relevant documentaries, which is the field that I am also working in.

Musicwise I'm pretty much open for everything, but my favortie genres would probably be indie rock, 60s rock and 80s, early 90s rap music.

Currently I'm reading a novel on Cicero by Robert Harris.. generally speaking I love historic novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've travelled the BR 163 from Santarem to Cuiaba in Mato Grosso, Brazil in an endless 60 hour bus ride.
