About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Welcoming the world in our home, in small town Zeil- about 35km from Bamberg. We like to support travelers with less budget. Plus, the idea to hear from our visitors about their past und future travels is exciting. Families are especially welcome.

ABOUT ME

We lived more than 6 years in SF and moved back to Germany in 2009. Now we have 3 boys and live in a small town surrounded by nature. Bought a house with big garden in 2012.
I am German and my husband is American. I speak fluently French in addition, my husband German. We love to meet new people and to see new places. We used to be quite active and sporty, now we just work too much ;). We are open minded, love to go out to eat, to talk all night long, to watch movies or to play games. BBQs in the park, with frisbee, Volleyball or tossing the football, that's us. I work in the travel industry and we love the idea of expanding the personal horizon.

PHILOSOPHY

We live to learn about others and ourselves. We appreciate the little things and are very easy to satisfy. It doesn't matter what we do it matters how we do it and we tend to do everything with all of our heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have had only positive experiences so far. All of our couchsurfers were amazing people and easy to get along with. We are still in contact with some of them. It is a great idea to bring people together and to make the world a more welcoming place.
It is a joy to meet people with open hearts and open minds.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We sold all of our stuff in Germany, had each 2 suitcases with our belongings and decided that San Francisco will be our new home. From Kentucky (my husbands family lives there), we traveled across the US in our new used car and arrived 9 days later in SF, where we started our new life. It has been great from the 1st day on. Traveling with all our belongings with no time pressure and no definite goal has been the most amazing feeling of freedom we have ever experienced. That's why we support this kind of networking.
And bringing our newborn sons home!

Teach, Learn, Share

Eva: As I work in tourism and know at least theoretically a lot about the US, I can share itineraries, cheap hotels etc.
Erik: I will gladly talk about and show energy work, mind-body connection and the importance of posture and moving with awareness.
